The High Coast is a UNESCO world heritage site known for its uniquely elevated coastline, evidence of the land uplift since the last ice age. At the top of the Skule Mountain, the coast line is now 286 meters higher than the current sea level. In addition to the dramatic coastline, the High Coast area includes the Skuleskogen National Park, the Ulvön island and 128 kilometres of coastal trail.
